How do we work with Care Homes?
The legal requirement for care homes is to have a valid legionella risk assessment completed by a competent person, and to then demonstrate and document how any risks are being controlled.
We understand that care homes have important things to worry about, with your own challenges to deal with. From playing games to helping a resident enjoy a bath, and even delivering palliative care, there are a great many distractions for staff; and it's unlikely they signed up to becoming a health & safety specialist when choosing to work with those needing help.
With all the distractions, it's very easy to overlook the legal requirements around legionella control.
At AquaTest Wales, we can complete your journey to meeting compliance, from the risk assessment, to creating the written scheme of control (including logbooks). Once you have these in place, we would be happy to create a service agreement to manage the issue.
